Udaipur's first grand Cake Mixing Ceremony held at Ramada Resort & Spa

Yesterday evening was grand affair at the Amber Pool Side Lounge at Ramada Udaipur Resort & Spa. The resort hosted a Traditional Cake Mixing Ceremony at a grand level for the first time in Udaipur followed by drinks and dinner buffet.

We were among the lucky few who were invited from the city along with most of the eminent people from different sects of the society to witness the grand affair.

Cake Mixing Event is celebrated across the world, and considered as a signal that Christmas is nearing.

The history of the event of cake mixing dates back to the 17th century in Europe.
The ceremony also marks the arrival of the harvest season. During this time, lots of fruits and nuts were harvested and used in the making of the traditional plum cake.

The ingredients of the festive fruit cake are mixed with wine and liquor in advance so that they develop an aroma and taste over the time.

At Ramada, F&B Manager Mr Mrinal Saxena welcomed all the guests with his signature charm, and with ringing bells of Christmas, the mixing began.

The event was followed by drinks and delicious dinner buffet.

The bar counter was loaded with alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices, and the skilled bartenders were at the peak of their craft by serving an endless number of cocktails, mocktails and Martini, shaken but not stirred!

The live Kabab Counters were churning out some delicious freshly made Galouti kabab, Fish Ajwani Tikka, Paneer Tikka, Chicken Satay and many more. The main course was a spread of around sixteen dishes mainly vegetarian with some delicious non-vegetarian dishes. The dessert counter was a hit with the kids as well as among the adults with hot jalebi, succulent custard apple kheer, pastries, tiramisu, pudding and ice cream.

Asst F&B Manager Mr Vikas Bhatt took care of all the guests and treated us all with great food and drinks.
