Nagai, an all-new Japanese Fusion Restaurant and Sake Cocktail bar from Ibiza, Spain now in Gurgaon!

A culinary experience that I had never before in India!

Sharing some photographs of the dishes that I had recently at Nagai, an all-new Japanese Fusion Restaurant and Sake Cocktail bar from Ibiza, Spain that has recently opened in Gurgaon.

The Dining Room

We ordered two different lunch set menus, Shion and Kiku. 

Miso Soup with Japanese aged Soya bean

Thai Tom Yum Soup

At first, we tasted some soups. A simple Japanese aged Soya bean Miso Soup with Tofu and A Thai Tom Yum Soup. I'm not using any adjectives to describe the food as they were beautifully cooked with immense love and skills that are beyond our expectations and delicious to the core.

Futokami Rolls

Next was an Osozai, a mini side dish. We chose Futomaki Roll. One of their signature sushi with prawn, crabstick and seaweed outside. And the Wasabi paste they served with it was a real killer!

Rice Bowl, Ten

Grilled Salmon Fillet in Teriyaki Sauce with Wasabi mashed potato

The Juicy Salmon

For the mains, we chose one Donburi - rice bowl called Ten. Where Tempura veg and prawn were served with Teriyaki sauce.

And a Grilled Salmon Fillet in teriyaki sauce served with Wasabi Mashed Potato and Japanese steamed rice.

Semifreddo Belgian Dark Chocolate

For the dessert, we chose a Semifreddo Dessert where Semifreddo (aka Semi Frozen) of Belgian Dark Chocolate served with a chocolate cream and bits. 

And we licked every trace from the plate!

Hojicha

As a gesture of signature Japanese hospitality, the sous chef sent us a pot of  Signature Japanese tea, Hojicha. A very different kind of green tea that is roasted in a porcelain pot over charcoal where most of the Japanese green teas are steamed.

We couldn't meet the Co-owner and Chef Reina Nagai as she was travelling but the entire experience was just magical!
