Review: Aqua Lounge in Udaipur - relax, unwind with good food & drinks

The moment you step out of the elevator, the first thing you see is a relaxing lounge with comfortable seating overlooking the Swaroop Sagar Lake! Refreshing indeed. The next thing you find pretty refreshing is their menu. A young and vibrant menu design with the useful description by The Masala Cartel.  When you're a bit confused with the different options, you have a humble and smiling host Mr Shaunak Verdia to help you in choosing your course of the evening. My friend and I were too excited to explore their interesting menu, and we were in food and drinking spree. The first thing came to our table was Guava Mary drink, both virgin and alcoholic variant. The smooth drinks bear the promises of a skilled bartender. Followed by Hard Shell Tacos filled with fresh veggies and sour cream and a Mezze platter with falafel, pita bread, and hummus. The next batch started with one of their signature 8-inch medium pizza - Bianca e Funghi. Those who love Mushrooms must try this hand pressed fresh dough pizza made with an assortment of cheese. Then we tried the another signature dish from Masala Cartel is Mango Bhut Jolokia Dumplings. The infamous Bhut Jolokia is twisted well with mango to give it a unique signature flavour. Worth trying if you're open to experimenting with your taste buds. Next was the Classic Cheese Garlic Boat. A baked delicacy with fresh dough wrapped around a medley of cheese, chilli, roasted garlic. Those who has a soft corner for cheese will enjoy this for sure. Next came the Maggi with fried vegetables topped with an assortment of cheese. This was specially ordered on my friend's request for her undying love for Maggi. We ordered some Mojitos also, which were pretty good and quenched our thirst with ease. 

Overall, I would say, if you are looking for a place to relax, unwind with good food and drinks in a comfortable setting with a good view, you must visit this place. Aqua Lounge has ample space for parking, moderately priced menu, and courteous servers. Many have raised some issues with their slow service on Facebook and Zomato, but I must echo their statement which is written on their menu itself, 'Good food takes time, please be patient.'
