Review: Bon Pizza, Udaipur - a quick stop you can make for a fresh-dough wood fired pizza!

Sometimes you develop a liking towards some simplest things in life, may be some person, may be some TV shows, may be write ups by a columnist in any magazine or maybe some food you love eating. For me, the Pizza served at Bon Pizza situated just outside the Dosa Plaza on 100ft road near Shobhagpura circle is something like that.

Fiery Peri-Peri Pizza

The fresh dough pizza baked in a wood-fired oven is delicious in taste and so fresh that you can sense the taste of each of the ingredients separately; not overshadowed by cheese. I tried their pizzas earlier also, the one with sun-dried tomatoes and a couple of times, Spicy Veggie and Mushroom and Olive pizzas, I liked them all! This time, we were invited by the wonderful young couple Shilpa & Sachin who owns the business to try their two new launches - Fiery Peri-Peri and Latino Garden.
The Fiery Peri-peri one is made with crushed peppers, Jalapeno, assorted bell peppers and the famous Nando's Peri Peri hot sauce on their signature 9 inches thin crust base. The moment you take the first bite, your mouth will fill with a hot yet flavourful taste of chilis with an array of different flavour notes and leave you with a cheesy aftertaste. Being a fan of Hot Sauces, I like it a lot! Taste this with caution and only if you are fine to experience some hot flavours in your pizza!
The second new launch was a Latino Garden Pizza which has an assortment of veggies and Paneer and topped with the Mamba Sauce! The pizza is perfect for anyone who loves the flavour of cheese, paneer, and veggies on their pizza with a bit of hotness!
More chewy and gooey than the peri-peri one and liked by fellow diners.

Latino Garden Pizza

Olive & Pepper Pizza

Personally, I like the peri-peri one more than this, but Latino Garden is also worth trying along with the ones from their regular menu.

An ideal item to gorge on a rainy evening if you're driving on the 100ft road towards Shobhagpura circle. The pizzas are reasonably priced between ₹100 and ₹230, and you can easily park your car on the roadside and have it hot straight out of the oven.
